From dependency to ownership
Authentication shifts from HNO HLR to your HSS over Diameter S6a (MME ↔ HSS). Charging authority moves to your OCS over Gy with Sy spending-limit coordination. CAMEL O-CSI/T-CSI/SMS-CSI live in your network, not the HNO's. Subscriber data — IMSIs, MSISDNs, profiles, CDRs — sits in your DB on your SAN.
Multi-host wholesale leverage
Once the core is yours, you can peer with several MNOs in parallel via SIGTRAN multi-home and Diameter routing through your DRA. Wholesale rates negotiate against real alternatives. Roaming agreements per IR.65/IR.88 sit on your paper, not the HNO's.
Phased cutover, no subscriber pain
Migration runs through the same 11-phase plan with sign-off gates as a greenfield Full MVNO build. Cutover is segmented (by IMSI range, region, or product line) so the existing base moves over progressively with rollback at every step. Self-care app and dealer portal stay live throughout.
